ABOUT CLIFF
Cliff Schumacher is a Los Angeles–based producer and photographer with over two decades of experience running complex, multi-million-dollar productions all around the world.
Whether he’s producing a prime-time Super Bowl spot, a global World Cup campaign, or a feature documentary, Cliff is known for keeping a cool head and bringing a calm, solutions-first energy to every set. Over the years, he’s collaborated with acclaimed directors like Werner Herzog, Rocky Morton, and Morten Tyldum, working alongside top-tier athletes, global music icons, and household-name celebrities.
At his core, Cliff’s approach to production comes down to a deep love for good storytelling. With a solid background in writing and segment development, he speaks the creative language fluently—allowing him to protect the heart of a story while keeping a sharp eye on physical execution. (And if you’re wondering where that quick thinking under pressure comes from, it might have something to do with his time as a contestant on Wheel of Fortune and Greed.)
Cliff provides complete, end-to-end production support for domestic and international clients shooting across the United States and abroad. He’s a seasoned expert at navigating complex union rules (IATSE, DGA, Teamsters, SAG), keeping budgets up to $2M+ strictly on track, and making sure cross-border logistics run smoothly everywhere from North America to Europe and Central America.
Grounded by a strong personal ethos, Cliff dedicates 10 to 20 hours every month to community service as an adaptive surf coach for ocean therapy non-profits like Life Rolls On and A Walk on Water. As an FAA-licensed drone pilot and skilled water photographer, he loves using his time behind the lens to help capture life’s most beautiful, empowering moments for these athletes and their families.
Off set, Cliff is an active member of The Fireflies and is currently training for their San Francisco-to-Los Angeles cycling tour to raise money for cancer research. When it’s finally time to kick back and recharge, he loves nothing more than relaxing at home with his partner, Mollie, and their dog, Noodle.
